Loosely Woven presents 'Thoroughly Thora'
5th - 21st August 2011

By Wayne Richmond
Posted Friday, May 13, 2011

Loosely Woven is a community based group of people who put together and perform three brand new shows each year. 'Thoroughly Thora' is the second of these for 2011.

The concert is dedicated to the memory of Wayne's mother, Thora Thomas who passed away on the 21st July - just one month short of her 96th birthday and the final performance of this concert. The program will include the song 'Thora' from which her name was derived.

The rest of the concert will be the usual eclectic Loosely Woven mix ranging from beautiful four part harmony folk songs to 'Big Spender'', from a 'Prelude for Peace' to 'Lady Marmalade'!There are 23 of us performing this time with an instrumental line-up that includes: harp, flute, clarinets, saxophones, violins, guitars, piano, accordion, keyboard and percussion.

See the 'Thoroughly Thora' web site for details of the program.
