Posted Friday, October 20, 2006

Concert for Oscar is the name of the next Loosely Woven concert which will be taking placing at Mittagong on the last weekend in October and Sydney on the first weekend in November.

This concert is a special one featuring a relatively small group of instrumentalists (who will also, by the way, be doing lots of singing!):

Tully Dingle (guitar, perc, keyboard)
Maria Dunn (fiddle, cello, keyboard, perc)
Anneli Elliott (fiddle)
James Johnson (accord, recorders, k/bd)
John Macrae (recorders)
John Manson (fiddle)
Fiona Munro (fiddle, viola)
Wayne Richmond (k/bd, concertinas, perc)
Jill Stubington (concertinas, keyboard)
Chris Wheeler (vocals, recorders/flutes)
The title of the concert comes from Maria's 8 month old baby boy for whom she has written a beautiful tune called Oscar's Song.

All Loosely Woven concerts are performed acoustically - no PA!
