Loosely Woven presents 'Bright Eyes'
20th Nov - 13th December 2015

By Wayne Richmond
Posted Thursday, October 15, 2015

Loosely Woven is a community based group of people who put together and perform two to three brand new shows each year. 'Bright Eyes' is the third of these for 2015 with 17 instrumentalists and singers. 'Bright Eyes' is named after the song made famous by Art Garfunkel.

The program will be the usual eclectic mix with a few Christmas related songs including:
• I'm gonna sing
• The Virgin Mary
• Riu Riu Chiu
• and a truly beautiful arrangement of Silent Night

as well as a number of well known songs including:
• You're my world (Cilla Black)
• He's a rebel (The Crystals)
• I'll be your baby tonight (Bob Dylan)
• Better be home soon (Crowded House)

a couple of Australian songs:
• Women of our time (Judy Small)
• Refuge to a Refugee (Bernard Carney)

and many more!

Instruments this time will include violins, flutes, harp, guitars, mandolin, melodica, concertina, keyboard and percussion. Full details are available on the Bright Eyes web site. Check out these Loosely Woven video clips on YouTube!

As usual, Loosely Woven will be performing acoustically - no PA system.

Owing to limited seating, bookings strongly recommended for the performances at Humph Hall. Bookings, however, are not necessary for the other venues. But don't be late - Loosely Woven concerts always start on time! :-)
