Come help us link the past with the present and dance the night away to the strains of the famous Heritage Ensemble, with music specially selected representing railway themes. The music repertoire will also include such delights as The Sydney Railway Waltz, a composition by W H Paling prepared expressly for the occasion of the official opening of the first rail in NSW, in 1855, which ran from Sydney to Parramatta.
The dance programme is drawn from railway Ball Programmes over the years and will also feature the winning entrant of this year's dance competition.
Supper will be served and feature some special delicacies of the day. Drinks (non-alcoholic) will be available throughout the night. Dress in colonial splendour, representing your favourite 19th century fashion.
