Bird sings the blues!

'Bird sings the blues' is the name of a new song by Harry Dingle who is up from Tasmania to perform a series of concerts with local folk group Loosely Woven. As well as three songs by Harry, there will also be some by Harry's son Tully and his daughter Tegan as well as other local songwriters Trevor Swadling and Kevin Murray. All together, over 20 instrumentalists and singers will be participating in the concert playing a wide range of instruments including fiddles, recorders, flute, accordion, trombone, harmonium, concertinas, keyboard and percussion.
All Loosely Woven concerts are performed acoustically - no PA!

The New Theatre performance will cost $10 (all proceeds towards the New Theatre Building Fund). All of the other performances will be free although donations will be invited.
Please Note: Sonia Bennett will join with Loosely Woven at the New Theatre on Sunday 18th in a special rendition of her song 'Valley of the Waters' as a tribute to the song's lyricist, Denis Kevans.The Avalon performance will be recorded and videoed.
