Aba Daba Honeymoon
2nd-9th April 2006

By Wayne Richmond
Posted Saturday, April 1, 2006

Ian Hamilton & Nicky Lock

The quirky World War One hit 'Aba Daba Honeymoon' is the opening song of Loosely Woven's first concert for 2006. As usual, the program includes a wide variety of material including original songs by Ian Hamilton and Kevin Murray, a couple of tune sets, songs from the stage and lots of silliness - even more than usual!

Instruments will include fiddles, recorders, flutes, concertinas, accordion, keyboard and percussion. See the Loosely Woven web site for details of the program.

All Loosely Woven concerts are performed acoustically - no PA!

There will be four public performances:

St Davids Uniting Church, DY
2pm, Sunday 2nd April 2006
(next to the police station)

St Andrews Uniting Church, South Turramurra
7pm, Friday 7th April 2006
Chisholm & Vernon Streets,
South Turramurra

New Theatre, Newtown
2pm, Saturday 8th April 2006
542 King Street (midway between Newtown & St Peters stations)

Avalon Baptist Peace Church
7pm, Sunday 9th April 2006
2 George Street, Avalon
(for Amnesty International)

Attendance at the New Theatre will cost $10 (all proceeds towards the New Theatre Building Fund). All of the other venues will be free although donations will be invited.

The New Theatre performance on Sat 8th will be recorded and videod and made into a DVD.
