Phil Garland
Kiwi Balladeer & Singing Historian. Phil Garland is one of New Zealand's true musical treasures, a respected folklorist and a musical balladeer who has recorded 18 albums. His mission for over 30 years has been to gather and preserve for posterity, the songs and stories of New Zealand.
He has also released 2 songbooks, unfortunately both out of print, and a new book, Faces in the Firelight, which looks at New Zealand history through folklore and song, featuring much of Phil's collected work along with gems from the New Zealand Folklore Society archives.
Oran Mor
Oran Mor (Scottish gaelic: big songs) are two experienced musicians, former members of Taliesin, with a love of the traditional music of Australia, England, Ireland and Scotland.
Unfortunately Ian Baker can't join us this time, so Michel Spencer will be accompanied by Luke O'Neill.
