Margaret Walters and Danny Spooner

Danny Spooner

Danny Spooner loves to sing about working people. For 30 years he's sung at festivals, clubs and house concerts in Europe, England, Canada and the USA.

There and in Australia audiences have enjoyed his concert brackets, workshops and one-man shows, his deep multi-disciplinary understanding of social history, his personal warmth, and his immense repertoire of songs covering the full range of human emotions, endeavours and experiences…

Danny Spooner

He is a spellbinder who can make traditional music seem new and can make new songs seem old.Danny has recorded 5 CDs ranging from sensitive love songs, to shanties, and traditional Australian songs of toil and reward.

Margaret Walters

Margaret Walters

Margaret has been part of the Australian folk scene for many years, both as a solo singer and as a member of The Roaring Forties, and formerly in partnership with songwriter John Warner.

Her warm complex voice has graced songs ranging from traditional ballads, through sea shanties, blues and songs of industrial life, to contemporary songs of the environment.

Recordings include two solo albums (For the Future and the Past + Power in the Song), two with John Warner (Pithead in the Fern + Who Was Here?), two with The Roaring Forties (Hazard, Hardship & Damn Little Pay + Shore Leave) and John Warner's newly released Yarri of Wiradjuri, with The Roaring Forties and others.
