Sutherland Acoustic (formerly Sutherland Folk Club) is pleased to present:
Chris Cady - Chris has been playing blues music for 30 odd years in one form or another. The Ragtime Blues is an art form all of its own, with the joyous rather than the melancholy dictating it’s groove. Drawing from the great works of the Piedmont style guitar masters such as Blind Blake and the classic piano jazz masters such as Fats Waller that when combined with the country blues style and Texas swing, sets up a unique and powerful mixture that says “The RAGTIME BLUES are in Town”
Here is a chance to see and hear the authentic sound of the ragtime blues tradition performed live from one of the few practitioners in this country – an opportunity not to be missed.
New York Public Library - Sydney based band that has been delighting audiences for over three decades with their own unique blend of blue grass, folk, country and jazz with closely blended 3 part harmonies and spontaneous mad cap humour.
Floor spots welcome!
