Sutherland acoustic are delighted to kick off their 2012 series of concerts at the Gymea Tradies Club with Jan Preston.
Jan is a knockout boogie pianist with a rich resonant voice, who captures audiences with her mastery of boogie and ragtime piano style.
Winner of 7 Music Awards, Jan plays festivals and concerts throughout Australia, NZ, and Europe, tours her own shows and writes music for films and television (such as the 2000 to 2006 theme to ABC's 'Australian Story')
Jan was also enormously popular recently as a guest performer on one of the last programs of ABC TV's Spicks and Specks.
She has been described in the press as 'an inspirational and gifted pianist, performer and entertainer.'
Jan is delighted to be returning to Gymea where, she says "The audiences in Sutherland Shire are very responsive, and I love the Tradies Club. Everyone is friendly, it's a great room acoustically, and since I don't play in the area much, this show is an opportunity for lovers of boogie boogie and honky tonk piano music to come along."
