Mark Laurent & Brenda Liddiard (Millennium Hippies) have been touring New Zealand, the United Kingdom and occasionally Australia for many years using poetry and humour to talk about "life, the universe, and everything", playing for music clubs, arts councils, festivals, cafes and to support organisations such as Greenpeace, Amnesty International, Habitat for Humanity, The Greens, TEAR Fund, World Vision and others. They've recorded 17 albums, written hundreds of songs, and their "unplugged" style includes blues, reggae, acoustic rock, ballads, new country etc., using guitars, mandolin, rowan lute, harmonicas and harmonies. Mark has also published 2 book of poetry and they have both written articles for a number of New Zealand magazines. They've performed numerous times on radio and television.

two of New Zealand's finest and most prolific sing/songwriters . . . amazing guitar work . . . punchy mandolin . . . tongue in cheek humour, plenty of feeling. – Wellington Folk Festival

When this duo appeared on the scene, everyone took notice. Mark's brilliance on guitar is matched by Brenda's instinctive mandolin accompaniments. Their songs are contemporary, self-penned, and echo issues which touch the lives of us all and they are sung from the heart. No-one should miss this! – Devonport Folk Club

. . . shows a great flair for a range of styles . . . which are spiced with humour and insight. The production is excellent and really allows the acoustic instruments and vocals to breathe … you can't help but notice the maturity and skill of the playing. All in all a charming record. - New Zealand Musician
Hope to see you there!
