Sutherland Acoustic (formerly Sutherland Folk Club) is delighted to present:
Jim Low - a singer/songwriter who lives in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney. From childhood he has had a deep interest in, and love of, Australian history having written books and articles, and developed school learning materials on Australian themes.
Jim’s interest in Australia has also been expressed in many of the songs he has written. Included in the places he has performed are clubs, restaurants, concerts and festivals and his music has appeared on a number of cds and been played on ABC radio. His song "Bogan Gate" was included in Macca's selection CD. His bush songs particularly of the Coonarbaran area and the Blue Mountains form a distinctive part of his repertoire.
Each year he travels to Australian places listening to, and documenting, the stories of the people who live there. Some of these stories are included on Jim’s new CD, Above the Creek Bed, which also features the talented Chloe and Jason Roweth.
Pave Leclair - With stirring lyrics and trance inducing melodies, Pave Leclair steals your consciousness away. He has just released his debut album titled "Hello silver moon" and his single "They won't find us tonight" has been appearing on the ABC Rage program. Pave Leclair is a modern- day musical poet with a unique guitar finger-picking style. His songs are melodious and rich with meaning, leaving your soul feeling nurtured.
