(In between the Ambulance Station and Car Park of Narrabeen Shopping Centre)
Guest artists this month include:
- Mic Conway and Robbie Long - Mic Conway is teaming up with one of Australia's finest guitarists and driest wits - Robbie Long. Their idiosyncratic tunes will make your jaw drop and toes tap. A circus of comedy, magic and music - featuring some Matchbox songs and an hilarious version of "Masochism Tango". Stripped back, irreverent and shameless, Mic Conway and Robbie Long will give you their Blues while taking yours away.
- Peter Miller-Robinson - Peter is an exceptional artist, a great guitarist and a riveting performer. His debut on the Sydney music scene in 2003 with his ensemble Peter Miller-Robinson Group soon had him performing at The Basement and on Radio National. He has supported many well known Australian artists such as Stephen Cummings. His songs cover a range of themes from the personal to a sardonic examination of contemporary customs and contradictions. They are written to stand lyrically, melodically and emotionally even when presented in the simplest of formats.
- Harry Dingle - Harry Dingle is one of the Australian folk scene's best kept secrets. His voice is strong and sonorous and his intricate guitar playing is a joy to hear but it is his highly original songs, which range from the sublimely beautiful to the ridiculous, that make Harry truly exceptional.
Coffee and tea is available but BYO refreshments and nibblies.
The Shack is held on the first Saturday of every month. There's a cover charge of $15 to cover costs. The Shack is a non profit organisation – all proceeds go toward the promotion and presentation of original, contemporary and traditional 21st century folk music.
