It's that time again folks! We are on this Thursday, October 6th at 8pm - and it's going to be a little bit different on this occasion. Knowing how much folkies like to sing, we decided that this month's entertainment would take the form of a themed session/workshop, titled "Work is the Curse of the Drinking Class".
some of Sydney's most disreputable characters
You are invited to join some of Sydney's most disreputable characters who love a good chorus song, especially when it's on the subject of the demon drink, or work, or even working at getting a drink, or drinking to forget work! This is a hands - on night, where we can help them sing the choruses, add our own input in the form of songs, yarns and poems we know on the subject, and - of course - help them dispose of the subject of the songs, yarns and poems. All are welcome to contribute!
BYO's are definitely allowed
BYO's are definitely allowed - for academic research purposes of course ;-) In addition, all you need to partake of the merriment this month is a mere $5 at the door and your sense of fun. Hope to see you there - especially those we haven't seen for a while!
North By Northwest Poetry and Folk Club meets in The Cornucopia Cafe, and is one of the best acoustic venues in Sydney. There will be refreshments for sale and BYO's are welcome.
