Tsunami Benefit Concert
Concert in aid of tsunami victims at Hornsby Folk Club

By Chris Wheeler
Posted Saturday, January 22, 2005

Congratulations to Hornsby Folk Club and the Sydney band Mothers of Intention for a vibrant and heartfelt night of good music in aid of the tsunami appeal on Friday 21 January. As well as the warm voices and lively instrumentals of the Mothers, the program included songwriters Anne Ridgeway and Dave McManus who both made use of various members of the Mothers in their own performances.

The concert was very well attended and raised an extraordinary total of $1500, thanks to the hard work of both the club and the musicians in promoting the concert at short notice, and the generosity of concert patrons.

Good on you all!
