The guest artist this month at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Folkk Club will be the renowned Scottish folk singer Gibb Todd, now a proud Aussie.

Gibb grew up in Scotland surrounded with music. During the sixties folk revival he played and toured Europe and Britain, supporting many local and touring artists such as The Dubliners, The Fureys, Dick Gaughan and Tom Paxton. In 2003 Gibb was invited to Nashville to perform and record his current CD Goin' Home.

Gibb Todd has received regular airplay on the ABC and features annually at the Celtic Connections Festival in Glasgow.

His mate Eric Bogle writes:

my old mate Gibb Todd, is now a proud Aussie who lives in Queensland, but the festival thinks so much of him that they fly him over to Glasgow every year to perform various duties at the festival. Gibb’s been involved with folk music since Adam was a boy, he’s a great compere, plays a mean banjo, sings well, and has written some really good songs. But what I like about him the most is that he’s 3 years older than me.
