Ballpoint Penguins at Humph Hall poster

The Ballpoint Penguins, from Perth, Western Australia, present original and popular comic songs which tackle life's really important questions such as:

  • the battle of the sexes
  • the quest for self-actualisation &
  • what a woman really wants from a trip to the beauty shop
  • Impotence, vegetarians, religion, no topic is sacred, but everything's handled with their own brand of sardonic humour.
Since forming in mid-2003, The Ballpoint Penguins have performed at Fremantle Festival, Fairbridge Festival, the Nannup Music Festival, Spring in the Valley, Darlington Arts Festival and were one of the featured artists at the 2010 National Folk Festival in Canberra.

Visit the Ballpoint Penguin web site.

The support act will be The Dingle Brothers featuring Harry Dingle, one of the Australian folk scene's best kept secrets. His voice is strong and sonorous and his intricate guitar playing is a joy to hear but it is his highly original songs, which range from the sublimely beautiful to the ridiculous, that make Harry truly exceptional.

For the first time ever, Harry will be performing with his sons Matt, Luke and Tully and his daughter Tegan.

As with all concerts in Humph Hall, The Ballpoint Penguins and The Dingle Brothers will perform acoustically - no PA system!

Entry by donation: $20/$15

Bookings highly recommended (most past Humph Hall concerts have been booked out). Call or email Wayne (02) 9939 8802 to reserve your seat.
