Eight O'Clock Sharp
A soaring voice, flowing lyrics and ambient open tunings on 12 – string guitar describe the music of Anne Ridgway, singer/songwriter from the Blue Mountains. Enhanced by the rich vocal harmonies and a fiddle weaving spells throughout; this heartfelt musical presentation reveals the power of the human spirit. Recently described by Blu Fm radio station as one of the mountain’s best - loved musicians, Anne will be bringing her music to Sydney.
Anne has just completed her second album titled "Turn Your World" which she will be launching at Eight O' Clock Sharp in the Café Church Space on Saturday 5th November.
Playing alongside her will be friends and fine musicians from the "Mothers of Intention" – Rose McDonald, Penny Rankin-Smith and Tony Pyrzakowski. They are a lively four piece band who combine celtic and more contemporary influences to perform a diverse range of material from rhythmic tunes and reels to hauntingly beautiful ballads. The Mothers will also play a support set on the night.
