The Turning Wave Festival

Calling all Buskers!

Prizes to win!

Be part of this exciting festival. The people of Gundagai love a fine performance, so you’re invited to put your hat on the ground and convince them to open their wallets. Be a vital part of The Turning Wave Festival. You might even win a prize.

The Turning Wave Busking Competition takes to the streets of Gundagai on Saturday 20th September between 10.30am and 12 mid-day. Talented musicians, singers and/or entertainers are invited to practise their craft in the retail shopping strip along Sheridan Street and vie for our cash prize pool, studio recording time and the opportunity to perform at the Spirit of Place Concert on Sunday 21st September.

Meet Neil & Jane Gilmour. They won the inaugural Festival Busking Competition in 2006, recorded a CD using their prize and were part of the Festival line-up in 2007.

Participation is open to all holders of an Adult or Youth Weekend or Day Festival Pass (Not open to Festival Performers or Acts)

And there’s more! If you’ve a mind to join in and make music there’s our Big Bush Orchestra, the Festival Choir and the Great Whistle Walk plus daily blackboard concerts and sessions.
