Engadine House concert with Margret Roadknight
3pm, Sunday 30th October 2011

Posted Thursday, August 4, 2011

Australian legend, Margret Roadknight (of 'Girls in our Town' fame) will be presenting our next house concert. We will have to limit numbers to 40 (our capacity).

Margaret drew full houses at the National Folk Festival in 2011. Singing for over 40 years at various international and national events Margret has not lost her touch. If anything she is livelier and more entertaining than ever.

She loves to involve her audience and that is more than ever likely to happen in the intimacy of a house concert.

“A unique and passionate artist, renowned for her powerful vocals and wide-ranging roots-based repertoire with lyrics full of wit and wisdom, Margret RoadKnight survives and thrives outside the mainstream music scene with flair and soul.

Four decades into her career, she continues to tour extensively, singing riveting if under-exposed songs, either a cappella or with her guitar and African thumb piano, solo or with accompanying musicians, always interspersed with informative and amusing anecdotes, at venues ranging from house concerts to outdoor festivals (and yes, she still reprises her fondly remembered mid-70's Australiana hit "Girls In Our Town").

This is Margret RoadKnight ”
Booking essential.
