Eight O'Clock Sharp is in a post-National frenzy and is pleased to welcome Pete Morton back to Australia.

An unruly mix of humour, hope, politics and spirituality

Pete Morton hails from Leicestershire England. His songs are full of an unruly mix of humour, hope, politics and religion where social comment, love songs and an unusually powerful spirituality wrap their way around the folk tradition. Traditional ballads that have been sung for centuries often rub shoulders with Pete's current writing with remarkable ease.

Early influences of seventies new wave, the sixties folk revival, blues and the constant influence of a wide range of fellow musicians are all felt in Pete's concert performances. He also provides some good opportunities to sing along.

"....this guy is amongst the best the British roots music scene has produced in living memory." -Froots Magazine, England"
