Back in black: The Spooky Men's Chorale revisits the Vanguard
9pm, Thurs 7th & Fri 8th Dec 2006

Fresh (mmm … well maybe not) from their exhilarating tour of England and Scotland, the burly bearded gents are back at the Vanguard in early December to spread a bit of pre-Christmas cheer. The denizens of the sceptred isle, from village hall to folk festivals to shining sea, unaccountably proved as receptive to the Spooky gospel as home audiences have. Already shady emissaries from far across the water are out abroad offering outrageous blandishments to haul the Spookies back there in 2007. Very soon the Spooky website will be springing into action with photos and stories of travels with the big tool, so check that out!

Catch the Spookies as they stumble out from post-tour hibernation, blinking and untangling their matted beards ...

In the meantime, Sydney folk have the chance to catch the guys as they emerge blinking out of well-earned post-tour hibernation, rubbing their eyes and untangling their matted beards, as they stumble off to a secretly located studio to commence their second CD recording.

Book now – these events have a curious habit of filling up.

Where? The Vanguard, 42 King St., Newtown, Sydney.

When? Thursday 7th & Friday 8th December 9:00pm - 11:45pm (but not Saturday)

Tickets: $20 general admission pre-booked, $22 @ the door, $46 including meal.

Bookings: (02) 9557 7992 or on the web.
