Margaret & Bob Fagan

The original members of the fabulous Fagans, Margaret and Bob never fail to delight with their strong blend of politically-edged traditional and contemporary songs. They have been active in the Sydney Folk Scene since the early 1980s, spending many years in the bush band, The Tempe Tipsters. The music Margaret and Bob performed as a duo in those days was ground-breaking - singing contemporary protest songs alongside traditional songs and the classic big ballads. Compelling harmonies and instrumental dexterity were always features of their performance.

With the Fagans, they are regular and popular performers at Fairbridge, National and Woodford Festivals in this country, and have a great following at Sidmouth and Towersey Festivals in the UK.

Throughout the years - the core of Margaret and Bob, has remained as solid as ever, never failing to delight with their strong blend of politically-edged traditional and contemporary songs. Most recently Margaret and Bob performed at the inaugural Kangaroo Valley Folk Festival, and sang songs of the Sydney Realist Writers at the Brisbane Labour History Conference in September

Their latest CD is Turning Fine.

Lol Osborn

Lol Osborne and the Wheeze and Suck Band

Lol first started singing English traditional folk songs in Sydney folk clubs during the 1970's. Later on family and work commitments took priority over performance but he maintained an interest in folk song and dance music through folk festivals and as a member of Morris dance sides.

Lol Osborne

Over the years Lol has built up a fine collection of tradition and contemporary songs as well as writing a number of songs from sensitive love songs to biting satire and social comment.

His songs at performances vary from traditional English ballads and folk songs, to songs of love, work, protest and humour.
