Inaugural Annual Bush Traditions Gathering, Goulburn
Long weekend, October 2006

By Sandra Nixon
Posted Monday, September 4, 2006

The Bush Traditions Gathering will happen at the very welcoming The Old Goulburn Brewery (Bradley Grange) which is in Goulburn in the Southern Tablelands region of New South Wales, Australia

Twenty Australian Dollars ($A20) buys a weekend pass . . .

just pay at the Tax Office upon arrival

Stuff will happen from 5pm on Friday and from 10am on every other day until "stumps" . . .

There are two main outcomes to be hoped for at this inaugural weekend event:

  1. To get like minded people together for a lightly structured weekend of music, singing, dancing and story telling sessions in a convivial environment.
  2. To talk about and pilot what this event might look like in future years.
In many ways we are testing the water in 2006.

We are hoping that the format for the weekend will evolve in future years to meet the needs of our audience.

All participants and visitors will have opportunity to suggest how this might happen. In this way, we envisage that the event will, over time, become the product of our collective community effort . . .
