St Albans Folk Festival
21st to 25th April, 2006

St Albans Folk Festival takes place every Anzac Weekend. For a full list of this year's outstanding performers visit the St Alban's Folk Festival web site.

The village atmosphere at St Albans creates the perfect ambience for a delightful weekend of folk music in a truly Australian setting. All venues are a leisurely stroll from the campsite and the heart of the festival and St Albans itself is a pleasant drive from the centre of Sydney making it an ideal day out.

For those who really want to get into the swing of the whole Festival, there is camping set aside on the banks of the Macdonald River with easy access to all the festival activities.

There are a few improvements to previous years. Camping is being organised by the Macdonald Valley Association.

Association has lobbied hard

The Macdonald Valley Association has lobbied hard to improve local rubbish and recycling services and manages a work program to stop the invasion of the riverbanks by black willow. Other activities have included the successful "seal the road" campaign and the Community Fire Forum.

As participants in the St Albans Folk Festival, you may be using the Park for camping and be asked to pay a camping fee. The fee covers the cost of providing clean drinking water and good quality fire wood as well as making sure everyone has a nice site.

All proceeds will be used to assist the on-going weed eradication work of the Association. As part of the fund-raising, the Association will again host the Anzac Day Two-Up Game in the grounds of the Settlers Arms.

Camping will cost $15 per adult for the entire festival or $5 per night

Camping is very basic, there is no power. There will be portaloos and council toilets. We anticipate limited showers will be available to ticket holders at a small cost, otherwise there are no showers, so bring a bucket and soap!! Or feel free to jump in the river, (hopefully there'll be enough water in it!)
