Mend the torn air - The Songs of Denis Kevans
9.30-11am, Easter Monday 2006

Posted Monday, April 3, 2006

Sonia Bennett & Loosely Woven (a group of 16 instrumentalists and singers) will be presenting a workshop at the National Folk Festival in Canberra featuring some of the songs written by Denis Kevans, Australia's Poet Lorikeet, who passed away in August 2005.

The workshop will be taking place in The Singing Room (above the session pub). Festival goers are invited to bring their instruments and voices (music will be provided).

Sonia, Loosely Woven and many others will also be participating in a special concert called 'The Lost Treasures' at 2pm on Easter Sunday in The Trocadero. The concert will pay tribute to Denis, his brother Jacko and a few other well known folkies who died during the past year.
