Introducing Wayne Gorbea’s Salsa Picante
Review of Wayne Gorbea CD

By Julius Timmerman
Posted Monday, November 19, 2007

New York-based Wayne Gorbea has been playing “salsa brava” since the 70s and is still achieving huge success. He is a multi-instrumentalist as well as a singer. This is the first overview of his many recordings from 1978 to 2006, with over 70 minutes of exciting nightclub dance music for serious Latin music lovers, in tight creative arrangements, and nicely recorded. Rhythmically energetic, this brightly colourful music will get those hips swaying. Oo la la!
