The Folk Federation of NSW was formed in 1970 with the aim to present, support, and encourage the performance of folk music, folk song, folk dance and spoken word by providing - through its magazine, Cornstalk Gazette, and now through this website - an opportunity for artists, audience, groups, clubs and festivals to get together.
there's a lot happening!
Cornstalk and the JAM web site provide a forum for the discussion and review of traditional and contemporary folk arts. Music forms included are variously described as: folk, acoustic, a cappella, bluegrass, blues, bush, Celtic, ethnic, roots, urban, and world music - and there's a lot of it happening right in our own backyard.
