Loosely Woven presents a brand new 'unplugged' concert called 'One Voice'. The name comes from the opening song made famous by American trio 'The Wailin' Jennys' which extols the virtue & power of many voices working together. The program includes Judy Small's powerful 'You don't speak for me', songs by Aboriginal groups 'Stiff Gins' & 'Tiddas' & many more - the usual eclectic Loosely Woven mix!  27 performers; instruments include harp, flutes, clarinets, saxophones, violins, guitars, mandolin, piano, accordion, concertina, keyboard, percussion. Engadine House Concert. Christine Wheeler & friends. Best known as the voice of Wheelers & Dealers, & recently described as ‘the definitive English language folk voice’ (Paul Cosgrave, Blue Mountains Wonderland Magazine), Christine Wheeler returns with a new CD, 'Rain in the Mountains - Songs from Henry Lawson’, with  some very fine accompanists. Christine’s classic folk voice & her flute & whistle playing, with the celtic styles of Leigh Birkett on guitar, bouzouki & vocals & one of Tamworth’s favourites, Simon Watts (fiddle, vocals). The show is receiving an overwhelmingly positive response - with comments like 'the beauty of the songs brought tears to my eyes'. CANBERRAGraham Dodsworth - a geographical tour through 19th & 20th century Australia with songs showing the way it was, incl. moving versions of ‘Farewell to the Gold’, ‘Brunswick Road’ & ‘Gentle Annie’. Born in a brown coal mining town in rural Victoria, he began performing folk songs during his teenage years & has been performing at Australian festivals etc ever since; inspired by his own father’s success as a singer on live radio shows in the 1940s. + Christina Mimmochi (usually 'alto' in the harmony sandwich - Blindman’s Holiday, Touchwood), with Sallyanne Brown (harmonies).
